Tomato Stick Making Machine

Tomato Flavored Sticks are a crunchy and flavorful snack made with rice flour, besan, and fresh tomato puree. These sticks have a delightful tangy taste and are perfect for serving with evening tea or masala milk.

Ingredients

For Tomato Puree
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chillies
  • ¼ cup water
For Stick Dough
  • 2 cups rice flour
  • ½ cup besan (gram flour)
  • 2 tbsp roasted chana dal powder
  • ½ tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
  • Pinch of hing (asafoetida)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp butter (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup water (or as required)
Other
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Blend tomatoes, green chillies, and water into a smooth puree.
  2. Combine all dry ingredients and butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add tomato puree and mix well.
  4. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough.
  5. Shape the dough into thin stick forms.
  6. Heat oil and deep fry sticks on medium flame.
  7. Fry until crispy and golden brown.
  8. Drain excess oil and serve hot.
Note: If the dough feels dry or breaks while shaping, add little water, knead again, and continue shaping.
